DepreSoft was a small Tokyo × California experiment in multimedia (1994–1999). They shipped odd CD-ROMs, floppy demos, and early virtual companions — all with a fondness for glitches and ASCII charm.
Working between a cramped studio in Shibuya and a garage lab in Oakland, the team tried to make friendly software that also questioned how sound and image could be reassembled. They left behind discs with hand-drawn liners and strange Easter eggs.
Most discs are lost or scratched. This archival page reimagines the company in a stark, terminal-like view. If you possess a disc or scanned manual, imagine sending a postcard to P.O. Box 4242 — we'd file it under /archive/retro.
